Athlete Spotlight: Meg Gates

Meg is in her second season as libero for the volleyball team. Her job on the court is not an easy one, but Meg makes it look that way. She is a phenomenal passer, has an extremely high sports IQ, and gives 100% effort in every practice and every game. In our first game of the season, Meg had 25 digs and 2 service aces. She also managed to only have 2 errors in the entire game, which is a very hard thing to do. These are incredible stats! It’s rare to find people who are as talented as Meg, but I’m most proud of her for the person that she is. Meg is a wonderful example of having the joy of the Lord, no matter the circumstances. She is a fighter, a fierce competitor, and a true example of Christ. She is so important to this team! I am looking forward to seeing the rest of her career, because I know it will be a great one.
